Meditation tip:

Quieting the emotional body

In meditation, water is often a symbol for the emotions.  As you meditate, visualise a stormy sea and then very slowly, visualise the storm ending and the waters becoming calm.  If visualisation is difficult, act as if you are doing it yourself.  If you cannot manage to calm the sea, your emotions are not sufficiently silent.  In that case, don't go any further.  Instead imagine walking into the sea with the bright, warm sun taking you in its rays, and let the warmth nuture and soothe you until you are ready to either walk out or feel ready to visualise a calm body of water.
